Carabiner is 19.5mm wide, at widest point.

STAMPS: Maker's Mark JG&S on caribiner.
HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.
