ERA: Victorian (1837-1901).

MEASUREMENTS: Locket is 26mm long x 21mm wide.
Weight: 4.4g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold, metal hinge and frames for strength and durability.

STAMPS: 9CT BK&FT on back of locket
HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD. This antique 9ct Gold repoussé heart locket is in very good condition and is brimming with charm. The Gold has a lovely buttery hue and the repoussé border is defined with no signs of surface wear. The Gold does have some small areas of discolouration and minor surface scratches, and the detailing down the centre of the locket softened slightly with age. However, this wear isn't overly noticeable and does not detract from the beauty of the piece. Best of all, the locket closes with a wonderfully satisfying click—ready to keep your cherished memories safe for years to come!
