Rose-cut Diamonds graduate from 0.9mm to 2mm in diameter, weighing approx 0.10ct combined.
Central Diamond is 4.8mm in diameter approx 0.50ct.
Weight: 6.1g.
MATERIALS: Tests as Platinum, Onyx, Central Old European-cut Diamond (approx 0.50ct), Rose Cut Diamonds (0.10ct).
HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

Condition
VERY GOOD. This Art Deco Platinum Onyx Diamond ring is in very good condition. The gemstones are all securely set and the Platinum is bright and robust. The Onyx is smooth and sleek with only some minor nibbles around the Diamond setting. The central Diamond has a lovely millegrain border, with one natural inclusion near the centre - this is only something you can see up close. The ring has been resized once upon a time, and this is slightly visible on one side of the ring. It appears the ring also had some TLC to ensure optimum wearing potential; this is visible to the back of the ring where one of the smaller panel sections has been reinforced. You can wear this ring confidently for many more years!
