This Art Deco Silver oval Butterfly Wing pendant is an eye-catching and highly collectible treasure from the 1920s. This pendant encapsulates the era's fascination with bold, bright jewellery and "exotic" materials.

This pendant contains the neo-tropical Morpho blue butterfly wing, a species of butterfly that was native to Peru. The spectacular Butterfly wing is proudly displayed in the heart of this pendant, showcasing an array of vibrant greens and blues shimmering across the surface as she catches the light!

Item Details

ERA: Art Deco (1920-1939).

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is 49.5mm long, including jump-ring.
Pendant itself is 38mm long x 23mm wide.
Weight: 9g

MATERIALS: Tests as Sterling Silver, Butterfly Wing.

STAMPS: '925' at the back of the pendant.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD. This Art Deco Silver Butterfly Wing pendant is in very good condition. The Butterfly Wing has kept its vibrant hue and is securely set within its setting. The Silver is bright and has accrued a light patina within the engraved details adding to her antique charm. The back of the pendant exhibits minor ding and surface wear, however this is not noticeable when worn. The jump ring holds the pendant securely, allowing you to wear her comfortably and confidently!
