MATERIALS: Rare sliced Steel

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

Condition

VERY GOOD. This Georgian sliced steel necklace with fish-hook clasp is in very good condition. The steel has lasted beautifully well, there is a little evidence of rust between the faceted steel beads, but this is an entirely natural phenomenon for steel and given the age of the piece it has lasted beautifully.
