Item Details
ERA: Victorian, c.1860-1880.
MEASUREMENTS: Locket is 40mm long including bale.
Locket itself is 30mm long x 34mm wide.
Weight: 10.7g.
MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Blue Enamel, Pearl.
HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.
PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.
Condition
VERY GOOD. This Victorian solid 18ct Gold engraved locket is in very good condition. The locket has kept its form incredibly well, despite its grand age, and still has two frames present. The Enamel is still crisp and bright and the Pearl is secure. The only thing to note in the locket is on the inside of the left locket door, where there is excess glue that is likely to secure the star into place. This is only visible when there is nothing inside the locket, so you won't be able to see it when photos are placed inside.
